Football

• CYFA teams are assembled by district and also by grade level: Kindergarten-2, 3rd, 4th and 5th.
•  As a participant in the CYFA recreational youth football program, your child will benefit from the opportunity of playing football for the Cherokee County, Georgia high school district they currently live in. Each district grade level football team wears the same school colors and identifies with the same high school mascots as they prepare for the upcoming middle school and high school programs. (see chart below to find out which district you will belong too) 

Practice & Season Schedule:

•  Practice days are held Monday-Friday. Your coach will contact you the weekend prior to practice starting to confirm location and time. (All districts practice M, Tu, & Th EXCEPT Etowah and Creekview. Etowah practices Tu, Th. Fri and Creekview practices M, W, Th) 
• Regular season games will begin on TBD
• Playoff games will be held TBD
•  All grade-level championship games will be played on TBD

Player Safety:

• CYFA is a Head's Up Certified organization developed by USA football to advance player safety in the game of football
•  A Player Safety Coach is present within each district of our youth organization that is responsible for teaching coaches clinics and measuring the results of this initiative.
• Your child will learn proper football fundamentals taught by qualified coaches who've been certified to teach proper tackling technique
• Your child will be provided with a properly fitted equipment to ensure your child is playing a better, safer game
•  We work with several of the leading equipment providers in the country to equip our young athletes with the latest technology in head protection while still providing a comfortable fitting helmet.

Football Registration: 
CYFA offers families an affordable Payment Plan Feature allowing you to pay your registration and camp fees in monthly installments.

• Football Registration:  OPENS IN MARCH
• CYFA Football Camp Your Football Registration fee includes- magnet, 2 game jerseys, helmet decals and name lettering on the jerseys. Your registration price also pays for referees, field usage, maintenance fees and other costs.

There will be no playing up for the 5th grade team. It will be 5th grade only.

A sibling discount is available to families with more than one child participating in our football and cheerleading programs. To receive the sibling discount, you’ll pay full price for the first child and each additional football or sideline cheer registration will be discounted $30.
